Eleanor's Pantry Receives Farm Bureau Double-Up Match
Paw Paw, Mich. – Eleanor’s Pantry was recently awarded a Farm Bureau Double-Up Donation to fight food insecurity in the community. Van Buren County Farm Bureau plans to donate $486 in proceeds from the Farm Bureau District 1 Chili Cook-Off event to help purchase food for neighbors in need. The Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan Agent Charitable Fund (ACF) has committed to match the county’s donation for a total of $972 donated to the pantry.
Van Buren County Farm Bureau is excited to support Eleanor’s Pantry and their hunger-relief efforts in southwest Michigan. As Van Buren County Administrative Manager Kathleen Fuentes says, “Eleanor’s Pantry is a local organization that Farm Bureau feels is important to the well-being of local families and individuals in need. Helping out with food insecurities promotes optimism and will have a positive effect on our community.”
