International Agricultural Study Tours
Michigan farmers do business in a global marketplace, so it makes sense that they visit other countries to learn:
- Where U.S. agricultural exports go,
- Where U.S. agricultural imports originate, and
- How agriculture in other parts of the world compares to ours.
International agricultural study tours are made possible by Michigan Farm Bureau and the Michigan Foundation for Agriculture.
Passport to Learning
Each tour develops a unique itinerary and focus based on interaction with host farms and counterpart agricultural organizations, industry representatives and government officials. Along the way, participants evaluate potential market opportunities and competition, evaluate their peers' adaptation of technology and consider each nation's take on farm and food policy.
