Billings and Payments
The following billing and payment information applies to all Farm Bureau Insurance policies and Michigan Farm Bureau Memberships.
You may pay online with your American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa credit card; your Debit/ATM card, as long as your card displays either a MasterCard or Visa logo; or with electronic funds transfer (EFT) from your checking or savings account.
Please allow 1-2 business days for the payment to be applied to your account. We do not charge a fee for paying online.
To pay by EFT, please complete the EFT Sign Up form online or at your Farm Bureau Insurance Agent's office. We will assume that the funds are to be taken from your checking account, unless you specify that they are to be taken from your savings account.
To pay online, please go to FB Pay.
How do I update an expired credit or debit card?
If the credit or debit card stored as an FB Pay saved payment method has passed its expiry date, you will want to go to Manage Payment Methods and enter the new expiry date before a payment can be made with that card. From FB Pay, click on Manage Payment Methods from the left sidebar, click edit next to the stored payment method you wish to update, change the expiry date, click update and save.
Why do I have two manage payment methods and two view payment histories?
Farm Bureau now offers online payments for our life and annuity products. At this time, the payment methods are stored separately for property/casualty and life and annuity. If you have a payment method to update, you will want to update the information on both lists in order to be able to use your stored payment method. This will be corrected in the future and allow you one view for both your saved payment methods as well as your transaction history.
The same method appears multiple times. What should I do?
Please delete the duplicates and confirm that the remaining one shows the current expiry date.
Signing up is easy! Simply sign into your account and select Manage Paperless on the left. The policy(s) and/or billing account(s) you want to sign up for will need to be registered to your web account.
Paperless policy and billing documents are available for all but Commercial Package policies. Payment reminders are available for all but Life, Annuity and Commercial Package policies.
Alert options include:
- Email notification when payment is due
- Your EFT is going to draw
- Your payment is past due
- You have a billing document available to view + more!
- The first policy on the account sets the bill date
- Invoices will be produced 18 days before their due date
- Payments must be received in our company's Home Office by the due date
- An invoice will be produced based on the payment plan option chosen
A payment plan fee is applied at the billing account level for payment plan options, except for monthly EFT and Full Payment. If there are multiple policies on one billing account, only one payment plan fee will apply for each scheduled billing installment.
The following payment plan fees are effective 4/01/09:
- Monthly EFT - No payment plan fee applies
- Monthly - $5 at 12 intervals per year (a total of $60 per year)
- Quarterly - $5 at 4 intervals per year (a total of $20 per year)
- Semi-annual - $5 at 2 intervals per year (a total of $10 per year)
- Full Pay - No payment plan fee applies
For life insurance policies and flexible premium deferred annuities, payment plan fees for options other than annual are based on a percentage of total premium. For assistance or questions about premium payments, please contact your Farm Bureau Insurance Agent.

- Policy Reinstate Fee - $20
- Non-Sufficient Funds Fee - $30
• Monthly EFT - Payments will automatically be withdrawn from a checking or savings account each month.

Insureds who have a Farm Bureau Insurance Personal Auto policy and a Farm Bureau Insurance Homeowners, Mobile Homeowners, Country Estate, or Farmowners policy receive a Multi-Policy Credit. For more information on the Multi-Policy Credit for commercial policies, please contact your Farm Bureau Insurance Agent.
The credit will be applied to each qualifying policy at renewal if you currently have both policies with a Farm Bureau Insurance Company.
If you have one of the above policies with a Farm Bureau Insurance Company, but not the other, now would be a good time to talk to your Farm Bureau Insurance Agent about adding a new Farm Bureau Insurance policy to take advantage of this credit.
