After three years on MFB’s State Young Farmer Committee, St. Joseph County Farm Bureau member Riley Brazo now chairs that body.
Brazo is a 10-year veteran at Fawn River Farms, a wean-to-finish hog and row crop operation near Sturgis. In addition to raising corn, soybeans, wheat and seed corn, he leads biological fertilizer sales and runs a custom trucking business.
Brazo has a deep resume of Farm Bureau involvement, including public policy and policy development programs in addition to Young Farmers. Regionally he’s been active in District 1 Young Farmer activities, such as the annual chili cook-off, cornhole tournament, discussion meets, trap shoot and belt-sander races.
Brazo lives near Sturgis with his wife Ashley and their toddler Theodore.
