Farm Bureau member leaders Jennifer Lewis (Hillsdale), Leon Knirk (Branch), and Tamara Klink (Hiawathaland) were recently appointed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to the Michigan Beef Industry Commission. The appointees will serve terms through 2027, pending Senate approval.
Jennifer Lewis of Jonesville, the Michigan Farm Bureau District 2 Director, has been reappointed to represent dairy producers. She serves as the human resources director and manager of Pleasant View Agriculture and is also treasurer of the Hillsdale County Dairy Promoters.
“I’m excited to continue my service, representing dairy and beef farmers in Michigan,” Lewis said. “With the additional monies collected through this program, we can amplify the benefits of beef in a healthy diet.

Tamara Klink of Garden, a member of the Hiawathaland Farm Bureau, has been appointed to represent beef cattle growers, succeeding fellow member Jon Haindl. She and her family farm on the Garden Peninsula, where they raise cattle and produce all the feed for their operation.
