Caps were tossed and stages were crossed. Now your future awaits!
Collegiate Farm Bureau students across Michigan graduated this spring and stepped into the real world with leadership skills, advocacy experience and a passion for agriculture already under their belts.
From competing in Collegiate Discussion Meets to leading campus ag events and attending Young Farmer conferences, these students didn’t just earn diplomas — they built a foundation for future success in Michigan Farm Bureau.
Now, as they take their next steps, we have the opportunity to help keep them connected and growing through Farm Bureau membership.
Through our partnership with MSU’s Institute for Agricultural Technologies, Saginaw Valley State University and Jackson College, Collegiate Farm Bureau chapters offer students opportunities for hands-on leadership experience by:
- Competing in the Collegiate Discussion Meet
- Attending local, state and national conferences
- Leading programming that shares the voice of agriculture on their campuses
Now it’s your turn. They crossed the stage and are ready to step into Farm Bureau.
Here’s how your county Farm Bureau can connect with these newcomers and grow alongside them:
- Reach out to your nearby IAT coordinator and share the benefits of regular Farm Bureau membership.
- Invite graduates to your next Young Farmer event or county gathering.
- Recognize their accomplishments during your county annual meeting.
- Engage them in upcoming activities like Project RED (Rural Education Days), legislative events or local initiatives.
These graduates already know Farm Bureau and believe in the mission. Now they’re looking for the next step, and county Farm Bureaus have a powerful opportunity to welcome them in.
Let's continue growing leadership, building connections, and strengthening Farm Bureau's future — together!
