The past year was rough but we know county Farm Bureaus haven’t slowed down, but instead found ways to work through adversity. That deserves recognition — celebration, even — so we’ve developed a simple process (see chart) for helping steer your county’s excellence toward the right recognition opportunity, depending on where your application fits best.
If your event focused on Promotion & Education, know that MFB’s State Promotion & Education Committee seek five to six county projects to showcase at the 2021 State Annual Meeting.
All applicants can then move on to the American Farm Bureau County Activities of Excellence award; just note as much on the P&E Showcase form. MFB staff will complete the AFBF County Activities of Excellence Ag Education & Promotion application for you.
Apply at bit.ly/PEShowcase; those chosen to participate in the state P&E Showcase will be notified by Sept. 30.
If your project fits in other buckets, apply directly for the American Farm Bureau Federation County Activities of Excellence (CAE) Award, celebrating unique programming driven by local volunteers in education and ag promotion; member services; public relations and information; leadership development and policy implementation.
Multiple county Farm Bureaus that work together to plan and carry out an activity may submit CAE applications jointly. Apply today at www.fb.org/cae.
Winning County Activities of Excellence counties are selected to display their winning activities at the 2021 American Farm Bureau Annual Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. All nominated programs must have taken place between Sept. 1, 2020 and Aug. 31, 2021.
All applications are due by 9 a.m. Sept. 1.
