Kent Lake School, part of the South Lyon School district, has their garden club up and running. They are currently in full seed planting mode. The kids have planted peas, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and herbs, all of which have been funded by Oakland County Farm Bureau.
Volunteers from Lowe's built raised beds and a fence to keep critters out.
The students did a taste test of the different vegetables that they planted. Every kid tried the vegetables offered and the adults were happy to see kids try some new ones for the first time.
