Youth voices have always been a critical hitch pin between our communities and agriculture. Whether it’s while sweeping barns at the county fair or during a community service project, consumer questions often home in on blue jackets and college ag students.

The #SpeakAgMichigan Challenge empowers FFA chapters and Collegiate Farm Bureau members to proactively engage with consumers and develop advocacy skills through social media campaigns.

Each month a new focus will challenge competitors to develop, create and implement themed social media campaigns for Facebook or Instagram:

  • September: Sports in Ag
  • October: Animal Care
  • November: Forestry
  • December: Made in Michigan

High school FFA chapters will compete for $5,000 cash awards that will go to the top 10 chapters in the high school division and recognition at the 2025 Michigan FFA State Convention.

Competitors in the collegiate division will be recognized during the 2025 Growing Together Conference with the top three Collegiate Farm Bureau members earning $500, $300 and $200, respectively. Each Collegiate member’s chapter will also receive a cash award for use toward upcoming chapter programming.
