Eaton Conservation District is hosting a statewide conference for Michigan women in agriculture and conservation: Pollinate 2022 is a forum for networking and learning about issues related to environmental stewardship and farm practices.
Altogether three Pollinate 2022 sessions are planned for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.:
- Oct. 27 at AgroLiquid, 3055 W. M-21, St. Johns
- Nov. 3 at Woldumar Nature Center, 5739 Old Lansing Road, Lansing
- Nov. 10 at Shawhaven Farm, 1826 Rolfe Road, Mason
Issues on the agenda including interpreting USDA contracts, cover cropping and other ag-conservation practices, funding land ownership, taking leadership roles in ag and conservation organizations, identifying soil and water risks, legislative updates and establishing pollinator habitat.
Lunch will be provided. Each conference date is $15 to attend, or $40 for all three dates, with scholarships available.
