State FFA Award county reports are ready to be put into action! By now your county Farm Bureau administrative manager (CAM) should’ve received a list of all local FFA members recognized at the recent Michigan FFA State Convention.
Here are five reasons those reports are valuable to your county Farm Bureau:
- Outstanding juniors (11th graders) make great volunteers for your next Project RED or Ag in the Classroom activity.
- Boost your Harvest for All involvement by reaching out to your chapters that received National Chapter or Building Our Michigan Communities awards — they’d make great partners.
- If your county has a state band, choir or talent participant, invite them to sing or play at your county annual meeting.
- Looking to boost your social media presence? FFA chapters that received #SpeakAgMichigan awards took part in Michigan Farm Bureau’s challenge to connect with consumers via Facebook. Maybe they can help improve content on your county’s page?
- Attention, membership captains: State degree recipients belong on your prospect lists. These young future leaders are high school seniors with experience in community service and leadership. They’ve invested at least $2,000 and worked at least 450 hours on their supervised agricultural experience.
