Shiawassee County Farm Bureau Junior Board Member Application
June 1, 2024 12:00am
Junior Board Members of the Shiawassee County Farm Bureau are high school-age youth, currently enrolled in grades 10-12 for the fall of 2024, who want to get involved and make a difference in the agriculture industry of Shiawassee County. They serve as ambassadors to the youth programs in the county, participate in board meetings and special events, and sit on the Young Farmer committee.
By sitting on the Shiawassee County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, members will gain valuable networking and leadership skills, while drawing inspiration from other agriculture conscience people. The Board of Directors convenes for monthly meetings.
Interested individuals must submit their interest in writing by completing the application packet and supplying the supporting documents. Applicants are then interviewed by a panel of Farm Bureau members and asked an array of leadership and agriculture-related questions. Upon appointment to the board, junior members will serve 1 - two-year term to conclude at the County Annual meeting held annually in August or September.
