Dave Bahrman of Rumely in Alger County is the District 12 Director on the Michigan Farm Bureau (MFB) Board of Directors, representing Farm Bureau members across the Upper Peninsula.
Bahrman is a graduate of Gwinn High School and attended Northern Michigan University. Bahrman and his wife Karen married in 1988, and while they have no children they are devoted to their dogs and he tolerates her horses.
He worked on his family's fifth-generation dairy and potato farm until 1993, when he formed a partnership with his brother, Dan. Today, they grow hay and potatoes and raise beef cattle.
Bahrman's past county Farm Bureau involvement includes serving as Hiawathaland Farm Bureau president, vice president and board member. His prior state involvement includes positions on the MFB Policy Development and AgriPac committees.
