Clare County Farm Bureau invited a dozen fifth-grade classrooms from Clare, Harrison and Farwell schools to its annual Project RED (Rural Education Day) event.
Hosted May 3 by the Clare-Gladwin RESD Magnus Center, almost 300 area students cycled in groups through learning stations covering agricultural topics including tractor safety, gypsy moth suppression, greenhouses, small animal care, beef and swine production, dairy, horses, popcorn, maple syrup, honey bees, conservation and careers in agriculture.
Clare County Farm Bureau extended special thanks to Michael Long from Harrison Community Schools for creating and sharing a video summary of the event: https://vimeo.com/705954969/f383e89c41
