The Michigan Ag Council has selected its next class of Michigan GROWN, Michigan GREAT ambassadors. They are Thomas Brewer-Brown of Flint, Lilly Nyland of Holland, Kendal Valentine of Richmond, Anna Woller of Montague, Leah Engler of Sandusky, and Zoey Zupin of Ithaca.
From pig to beef production, ag education to FFA and agronomy, the new ambassadors bring diversified experience to the agriculture industry and will serve as the faces of the Michigan GROWN, Michigan GREAT campaign. Their tasks include making personal connections with consumers and others in the industry while expanding their knowledge of Michigan’s diverse agricultural sector.
"As we kick off our 2025 ambassador program, we are excited to see how participants will utilize their creativity, leadership skills, and teamworking ability to share the story of Michigan agriculture," Michigan Ag Council Manager Hailey Gilbert said in a statement.
“Ambassador’s assist in serving the Michigan GROWN, Michigan GREAT brand in conducting consumer engagement at farmers markets, participating in our Down on MI Farm dinners, and creating social media content that highlights the diversity of Michigan agriculture.”
The ambassadors will also undergo a day-long training course before honing their advocacy and storytelling skills to instill trust among consumers. Among their 2025 initiatives, the ambassadors will visit various farms and share their stories and experiences to encourage others to choose Michigan GROWN products.
Michigan Farm Bureau, AgroLiquid and McDonald’s of Michigan are sponsors of the 2025 ambassador program. Learn more about the Michigan Ag Council here.
