On May 1st, the Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency was awarded a Farm Bureau Double-Up donation to fight food insecurity in the community. Berrien County Farm Bureau donated $500 in proceeds from the Farm Bureau District 1 Young Farmer Chili Cook-Off event to help purchase food for pantries and direct distribution in the county. Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan Agent Chartable Fund matched the county’s donation for a total of $100 donated to the pantry.
