St. Clair County farmer Travis Fahley was elected District 6 Director in 2014 to represent Farm Bureau members in Huron, Lapeer, Sanilac, St. Clair and Tuscola counties.
Fahley and his father Ed raise 1,500 acres of corn, soybeans and wheat in northern St. Clair County near Yale. The farm also includes almost 300 acres of hay and a small herd of 75 beef cattle.
Fahley and his wife Cadi have two boys; Zack and Jared.
A graduate of MFB's ProFile leadership development program, Fahley has served the St. Clair County Farm Bureau as its president and chair of its policy development and candidate evaluation committees. He's also served on MFB's state-level policy development and Young Farmer committees.
Outside Farm Bureau, he and his wife are active leaders in a local youth baseball league. In recognition of his community involvement, Fahley in 2013 was named among a list of "10 local rising stars" by the Port Huron Times-Herald.
