The Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies is accepting applications for several agriculture-related internships next summer; apply at the FB Careers Center website. Position responsibilities and qualifications vary and are detailed in each posting.

Public Policy & Commodity Division

Students interested in politics, the legislative process and farm policy can apply for an internship with MFB’s Public Policy & Commodity team.

These positions offer various opportunities, including assisting with local event planning, developing communication materials, providing input on issue-based programming and more.

Great Lakes Ag Labor Services 

Students with Spanish-speaking and translation experience can apply to intern with  Great Lakes Ag Labor Services, an MFB affiliate company providing seasonal H-2A guestworkers for Michigan farms. 

GLALS interns experience all facets of its service portfolio, including contract filing, on-farm guestworker training and onboarding, administrative, domestic recruitment interviews, supporting clients in audits, database data entry and marketing activities.

Several internships with our largest affiliate company are perfect for students interested in learning how Farm Bureau Insurance works to protect Michigan consumers — and farms of all kinds through its farm and crop insurance products. 

Students will work with staff experts in departments including claims, crop insurance, marketing, membership and underwriting. Interns will engage in business projects and deliver a capstone presentation to company leaders about their experience.
