Michigan Farm Bureau’s Field Operations Division has welcomed a pair of new regional managers to its field staff. Beginning Sept. 7, Alexandria Schunk and Matt Frollo joined the state’s largest agricultural organization, serving its members in the Saginaw Valley and North regions, respectively.
As regional managers the two newcomers will serve as a vital interface connecting Farm Bureau’s grass-roots membership with the state-level organization, administering and fostering involvement in programs from leadership development and consumer outreach to policy and community service projects.
Saginaw Valley
Alexandria Schunk now works with Farm Bureau members across the intensely agricultural Saginaw Valley Region: Bay, Gratiot, Isabella, Midland and Saginaw counties.
Schunk comes from Michigan State University Extension, where for the past five years she coordinated 4-H in Clare County, growing that program to more than 300 members.
No stranger to the organization, Schunk was Promotion & Education chair for the Clare County Farm Bureau for the past six years and served on a pair of district-level committees focused on membership and core program planning.
She earned her bachelor’s in business administration from Northwood University and associate’s from Mid-Michigan Community College.
North
As the organization’s new North Regional Manager, newcomer Matt Frollo serves Farm Bureau members in the northern Lower Peninsula counties of Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet, Otsego and Presque Isle.
Frollo has worked in and around agriculture throughout his life and comes to Farm Bureau with more than 16 years’ experience in wine and cider making, most recently with Townline Ciderworks in Williamsburg.
Frollo earned his bachelor’s in horticulture from Michigan State University. Outside work the Bellaire resident enjoys family time, golfing, hiking and coaching youth sports.
