Do you sell products directly to consumers, made from commodities you raise?
If so, Michigan Farm Bureau is excited to help you reach more customers through the 2025 Growing Together Member-to-Member Market, a new opportunity to help enterprising members showcase their products and increase brand awareness. The market takes place March 1 at the 2025 Growing Together Conference in Muskegon.
Participating attendees will find a platform for displaying and selling items directly tied to their farm operations. Whether you’re known for your honey, meats, lavender, jams or syrup, this is your chance to showcase the fruits of your labor:
- Cheeses
- Soaps & oils
- Farm-raised meats
- Jams, jellies & preserves
- Honey & syrup
The Member-to-Member Market is NOT your typical craft show.
Handmade items are encouraged but must be connected to your farm. Knitted items, for example, should be crafted from your own flock’s wool. The goal is to focus on direct-from-farm ag products, not general crafts.
In addition to selling products, participating members can provide information about their farms and their businesses evolved, giving customers a deeper connection and appreciation for the work that goes into each product.
Interested? Apply online before Dec. 13.
There will be 12 spots available for this year’s market; those selected to participate will be notified by Dec. 20.
The quick application process is designed to help you showcase your business, with questions about:
- Farm background
- Product description
- Challenges overcome
- How you developed your business
- A tip you’d share with others starting a direct-to-consumer enterprise
If selected, you’ll work with Farm Bureau interns to create a display highlighting your farm and products for display at your table alongside your products.
If you’re already attending Growing Together through your county Farm Bureau, you can set up your display 6-8 p.m. the evening before. If you’re not attending, or prefer a different time frame, you can setup 7-9 a.m. Saturday.
Booths will be open for sales during breaks in the conference, so you’ll still have plenty of time to attend sessions, participate in breakouts, and enjoy the banquets.
This is more than just a chance to sell your products — it’s an opportunity to connect with fellow Farm Bureau members, share your farm’s story, and gain exposure for your business. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or green as first-cut hay, the Growing Together Member-to-Member Market is a perfect way to grow your business network and showcase what your farm has to offer.
