Could it get any better than an event combining goats and ice cream? Didn’t think so!
Montcalm County Farm Bureau members came together on a sunny June 14 to catch up and enjoy the sunshine. Anderson & Girls Orchards north of Stanton hosted 54 members for ice cream sundaes and a quick think on potential policy topics.
Strong in its second year, the event stands a good chance of becoming an annual fixture on Montcalm’s calendar, proving to be a strong draw for families eager for a hearty meal, sweet treat and cute critters for the kids.
“We really love being able to host events like this,” said Nate Peterson, Montcalm County’s membership captain. “It gives our members a chance to get back to the basics and brings our families together — connect on a personal level.
“We really appreciate Anderson & Girls working with us to provide an easy location for members to all meet and spend time together.”
