Farm Bureau members anywhere near Frankenmuth this Saturday might want to swing by the Frankenmuth Corn Maze to catch an appearance by the Peterson Farm Brothers, the Kansas siblings who’ve made themselves “YouTube famous” for their ag-themed parodies of popular songs.
The Peterson Farm Brothers have leveraged their light-hearted music parodies into a full-blown ag-advocacy enterprise, and as such have taken their act on the road to multiple Farm Bureau events in Michigan and across the country. Receptive audiences here have enjoyed their pro-farming message at county Farm Bureau annual meetings, MFB’s Young Farmer Leaders’ Conference and other events.
Saturday’s concert is free for members of the sponsoring Saginaw and Genesee County Farm Bureaus. For others admission is $10 at the gate ($8 for children; ages 2 and younger get in free.) Concertgoers should bring a lawn chair.
The event marks the 2021 opening of the Frankenmuth Corn Maze, run by Joanmarie Weiss, renowned pretzel maker and a longtime active member of the Saginaw County Farm Bureau. The corn maze opens at noon that day; the Peterson Brothers take the stage at 7 p.m.
The Frankenmuth Corn Maze is located a couple miles west of town on 5450 Weiss Road.
