Michigan Farm Bureau is hiring!

The MFB Family of Companies is accepting applications for a trio of agriculture-based summer internships (among others) in the organization's Center for Education and Leadership Development, Public Policy and Commodity Division, and Great Lakes Ag Labor Services. Applications are being accepted through the FB Careers Center website. Position responsibilities and qualifications vary and are detailed in each internship posting.

Farm Bureau internships are highly sought-after and promise a rewarding leadership and skill-building experience.

Students with an interest in agriculture education initiatives and programming targeted toward young farmers can apply for an internship with MFB’s Center for Education and Leadership Development.

This internship includes responsibilities related to agriculture statistics/fact research, Agriculture in the Classroom lesson plan development, event coordination, local volunteer communication, newsletter writing and more. The position may also work on projects for the Michigan Foundation for Agriculture and the Michigan Ag Council.   

Public Policy and Commodity Division

Students with an interest in farm policy, politics and the legislative process can apply for an internship with MFB’s Public Policy and Commodity Division team.

This intern’s workload will include a variety of opportunities including assisting with local event planning, developing communication material, providing input on organizational programming and more.

Great Lakes Ag Labor Services

Students with Spanish speaking and translation experience can apply to intern with the MFB affiliate, Great Lakes Ag Labor Services, a provider of legal seasonal H-2A guestworkers for Michigan farms.

This intern will experience all facets of the GLALS service portfolio, including contract filing, on-farm guestworker training and onboarding, administrative, domestic recruitment interviews, supporting clients in audits, database data entry, and marketing activities/events.
