Mason County Farm Bureau member Rob Alway’s deep appreciation for agriculture surfaces frequently in the course of his day job as editor-in-chief of Media Group 31 and its sibling news outlets: the Mason County Press and, south of Washington Road, the Oceana County Press.
Not too long ago Alway began enriching his coverage of local events with a drone, which he’s using to great effect in sharing with his readership the rich variety of agriculture in Mason and Oceana counties.
Most recently he put together this fun little flyover of some wheat harvest in Custer Township, a few miles north of Scottville. Both Rob and the guy piloting the combine, Paul Monton, are good Mason County Farm Bureau members, doing what they love doing!
Visit the Mason County Press’ main YouTube page to check out some of Alway’s other farming drone pieces, showcasing the region’s marquee crops and its vibrant old-engine scene.
