Your way-too-early 2024-25 Meeting Season preview

It’s not too soon for a quick glance at MFB’s 2024-25 Core Programs — the big, state-level conferences we pack into your cold-weather months.

Just when you thought it was safe to get in the planter, your state Farm Bureau staff in Lansing starts chattering about county annuals and the next meeting season. Don’t sweat: We’ll keep this brief.

With the deadline for county-annual details only days away, it’s not too soon for a quick glance at what your MFB home-office staff refer to as “Core Programs” — the big, state-level, wintertime events that are 'core' to our organizational mission.

So get out your calendars, cuz here they are in chronological order:

State Annual Meeting

  • County Farm Bureau delegates will finalize MFB’s state-level policy agenda for 2025, celebrate the preceding year’s achievements and elect members to the MFB Board of Directors.
  • Registration: Oct. 15-25
  • Virtual kickoff: Nov. 6
  • District meetings: Nov. 7–20 (in district) OR Dec. 3 (in Grand Rapids)
  • Main event: Dec. 3-4 at the Amway Grand Plaza & DeVos Place, Grand Rapids

Lansing Legislative Seminar 

  • County Farm Bureau members passionate about policy learn about legislative and regulatory issues impacting agriculture and interact with elected officials, regulatory officials and other influential decision-makers.
  • Registration: Jan. 13-24, 2025
  • Feb. 25, 2025 at the Lansing Center, Lansing

Growing Together 

  • Every other year we combine Young Farmer Leaders Conference with the P&E-focused Voice of Agriculture to make Growing Together. Open to members of all ages, it offers farm business resources, leadership development, promotion and outreach techniques, networking opportunities and focused sessions packed with practical take-home guidance for actively involved Farm Bureau members. 
  • Registration: Jan. 6-17, 2025
  • Feb. 28 – Mar. 2, 2025 at the VanDyk Mortgage Convention Center, Muskegon

Washington Legislative Seminar 

  • County Farm Bureau members champion policy by lobbying federal lawmakers and regulators in the nation’s capital. 
  • Registration: Jan. 13-24, 2025
  • March 25–27, 2025 at the Holiday Inn Capitol, Washington, D.C.
