Young Farmers interested in sustainable energy practices should tune in to the American Farm Bureau Federation’s next Young Farmer & Rancher CONNECT call.
The July call — 8 p.m. July 16 via Zoom — features Michigan Farm Bureau’s Tess Van Gorder and a representative from the USDA. They will co-present opportunities to integrate and learn about sustainable energy.
“You can’t be environmentally sustainable without being economically sustainable,” said Van Gorder. “My goal is to provide resources and ideas to Young Farmers looking to pursue sustainability goals on their operations.”
As MFB’s Conservation and Regulatory Relations Specialist, Van Gorder works with farmers, government agencies, non-governmental organizations and universities on environmental issues and solutions.
Registration is open. Join in with questions about securing funding, best practices, and opportunities for Young Farmers to be both financially and environmentally sustainable.
CONNECT calls are hosted by AFBF’s YF&R committee to share timely information with Young Farmers and Ranchers nationwide.
Stay tuned for more about the next CONNECT call, Oct. 15.
