The Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies has been recognized as a Culture Innovator in the 2024 Best Culture Awards presented by Kudos. The award honors organizations that have demonstrated innovative and unique strategies to build an exceptional workplace culture.

Innovator honorees delivered in areas including strategies to improve employee engagement, positive employee feedback and exceptional results from culture initiatives.

“Using Kudos recognition, our employees can see the granular impacts their teammates play in the organization’s greater achievements — beyond just celebrating the completion of large projects,” said Eric DePew, assistant director of human resources.

“Many employees view their contributions as simply part of their job, often missing the opportunity to appreciate the impact they have on the company and our customers,” said Chelse Clark, customer experience specialist. “Kudos has helped us recognize the hard work and dedication of our colleagues, fostering a culture where it's not only acceptable but encouraged to share and celebrate our successes.”

“The Kudos platform creates opportunities to celebrate success, solidifying that culture for our employees and driving the success of living out each company’s mission,” DePew added.

A leading provider of employee recognition, rewards and corporate culture, Kudos is in its fourth year helping organizations building and sustain exceptional workplace cultures.

“Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies was selected for this category in this year’s program due to positive performance in areas including initiatives to improve employee engagement, positive employee feedback, and creative use and strong performance when it comes to the Kudos platform,” the Canadian company said in announcing the award. “This recognition truly reflects MFB’s dedication to employee engagement, productivity, and workplace culture.”

Founded in 1919 to serve the state’s county Farm Bureau organizations — and amplify the voice of their members — Michigan Farm Bureau’s services grew and diversified over the ensuing decades to include leadership development, consumer outreach, organized commodity bargaining, farm labor procurement and a full range of insurance products.
